PLA plastic is derived from corn which means once used, these containers completely compost under commercial composting conditions in just 45-60 days. Made from corn, an annually renewable resource, NatureWorks PLA is a plastic-like resin that is fully biodegradable. NatureWorks has a heat tolerance of up to 110 degrees (F). Heat Disclaimer (Please Read): All corn-based products (PLA) are stored in our temperature controlled warehouse. US Box is not responsible for any defects or deformation that may occur during transit due to temperatures over 110 degrees. Although we experience very few issues, UPS, and other freight companies will not guarantee temperature-controlled delivery environments. Therefore, US Box cannot take responsibility for any heat-related defects that occur during transit.
